Comedian and author David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.

David Walliams

Acclaimed children's author and comedian David Walliams is no longer with his longtime publishing house, as confirmed by the firm.

A representative for the firm stated: "Upon deliberation, and with the guidance of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK will not be releasing any new titles by David Walliams."

Reports indicate that the decision was taken subsequent to an investigation into reports of inappropriate behaviour towards female individuals.

The publisher declined to specify the motivations for this action, adding: "We refrain from speaking about private personnel issues."

A Highly Successful Writing Journey

Walliams is one of the UK's most best-selling authors for kids, with sales exceeding over six tens of millions of copies worldwide in five dozen languages.

His first children's book, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins back in 2008.

Some of his books, including *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have subsequently been turned into small-screen adaptations.

To date, he has released more than 40 books combined, which features a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which was published by HarperCollins last autumn.

Television and Literature

His career breakthrough occurred on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has been honored with National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.

He received an OBE several years ago in recognition of his work for philanthropic and artistic endeavors.

The publisher's decision comes after the appointment of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO this past October.
